Need some advice.

Hello

I've recently bought the following hardware:

MB: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, Socket-AM3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
RAM: Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9

Additionally i have 2 HDD's (1 sata and 1 IDE) and 1 DVD Burner.

Now I'm about to order a new GPU and was thinking of getting:
MSI GeForce GTX 275 896MB PhysX CUDA.

Now to my question. I'm going to have to buy a new PSU with all this hardware and I have no clue what to get. I would like to buy Corsair Powersupply 450W since it's fairly cheap and i'm not made of money but I'm concerned it might not be enough for my current system. So I've also looked at a Chieftec Super Series PSU 650W Modular PSU.

Wich of these should I get or maybe I'm going to need an even better PSU.
Please give me some guidance regarding this. I would also not mind some respons on my choice of GPU. If it's not the best performance for the amount of money I can spare I would really like to know about it.

Do not get an nVidia GPU with a 790FX board, it kills the main purpose of the 790FX board, 16/16 crossfire, get a 4890 and the OCZ modxstream 500w PSU, its strong enough to power a 4890 but if you decide to crossfire in the future you will need to upgrade to a good 750watt PSU, chieftec does not count as good. Btw for not being made of money you picked some expensive parts.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll look at the suggestions you made. I've never used ATI cards before so I never even thought about it.

Well I've NEVER had a good computer before so this time I decided to get a system that I would be able to enjoy and hang the costs (mostly).

I've taken a look and can't find the PSU you mentioned. Atleast not from the deliverer I'd like to use. Now at 500W they have 4 different choices:

I know the site is in Swedish but the names and specs are English so shouldn't be a problem.

For GPU did you have somethign like ASUS Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 in mind?

I agree with hunter315.

Take the 4890.
If you do wanna add another later for CF then get Corsair 750TX.
Otherwise get Corsair VX550 or OCZ 500w suggested above.

Either of the seasonics would be excellent. An ASUS 4890 would work fine.

About the http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=340678 PSU. I can't see any 6-pins connections on it. Doesn't 4890 use 2x6-pins for power supply?

It has 4 6+2 PCI-E connectors on it, which can plug into a 6 pin or an 8 pin connector.

Thank you, it will simply have to do, for now. Atleast I have the option of going crossfire later if it will be needed. That is why I went with the more expensive PSU
