[SOLVED] Need some assistance.

Hey, so I was using my desktop last night and it worked perfectly fine. The only thing I did was swap out one of my HDD’s. now even with the Original HDD that was in there, my BIOS doesn’t see anything but the CPU. I’ve reslotted and tested to see if the RAM was working (which it is) I don’t get any beep codes except for the single POST beep. Going to try removing my CMOS and seeing if it was a setting I messed with. I can’t really think of anything else it could be.., anyone else know?

Hi, Check the SATA and SATA power cables, both ends, if properly connected.

Just checked the SATA cables, they’re in properly. Still only shows me the cpu and will not boot to windows. It just freezes on the BIOS, my motherboard is an ASUS striker II Extreme

Have you cleared the CMOS, and still the same?

Yeah, it just freezes on the BIOS, it only shows the cpu (intel Xeon 5472 3.00ghz) nothing else happens after that.

How many RAM modules? Try leaving single module and testing each slot. But I see that you've already done it. It could be a board issue...

I didn’t do the cmos reset long enough, I’m supposed to wait 5 mins, doing that now lol. It’s not the ram, I’ve tested all 3 and they work fine

For clearing the CMOS, 10 seconds are more than enough... Make sure that the power cable is unplugged.
