So I recently upgraded my rig to this:

I was planning on buying a new monitor soon but am unsure which to buy. My budget is no more than $400 (before tax). I currently play on a Dell E2016HV 19.5" 1600x900 60Hz Monitor. My GTX 1080 is overkill for this resolution. Also my monitor is having some color and brightness issues, so I figured it was time to upgrade soon.
I was looking at the Dell Gaming S2417DG YNY1D but was unsure because it is 1440p at 144hz (with G-Sync), which requires a lot of power that I don't think I can output. I also stream every so often for fun with some friends (even though no one watches, rip) and reupload the streams to my YouTube channel as an archive. Would this monitor be too much to handle? If so, what would be a good choice? I play all sorts of games from FPS to Strategy if this would help your recommendation.
