i think i know why im getting this error i have my old windows installed onto my ssd and just got another windows due to me losing my original disk so i put it onto a usb once i turn on my pc without my ssd (which has my old windows 7 on it) the usb with windows on it loads up into the start up with no problem but when i put my ssd back in and start it up it says bootmgr is missing
it did let me load into the install screen with my ssd in at first but when i tried formatting my ssd it would not delete and when i tried installing windows onto it it wont do that either
im so pissed right now lol is there anyway i can erase the ssd without going into windows installation? i have a laptop that i can use but no idea how to format it please help i will be so grateful

Solution
If you want to put a fresh install of Windows (assuming 7) on the SSD, then at the point where you can format the drive, you need to delete the partitions instead. There is a drive options (advanced) area that lets you do that. Select each partition and delete until you end up with 1 line showing unallocated space. Then hit next and Windows will create the partitions it needs automatically and should install with no issues.
