Need some help build my first system

Hey guys I am looking in to building my first system I want to try and keep the price around $1300
Will mainly be used for gaming and and some media editing.

My preferences are for Intel and Nividia's GTX series but i am open to change.
I am from Australia am as such can not use newegg, but I have narrowed down these two sites as trusted retailers for Australia http://www.scorptech.com.au/ and http://www.pccasegear.com/.

I do not need keyboard or mouse speakers, ect

I'll use pcpartpicker, the Aussie version (helpful website... finds the best deals around retailers). Do you need an OS, an HDD, or a monitor? I'm assuming you have OS and monitor. How much media editing are you really going to do? Anyway, here's what I would use:

Yeah i fine on the monitor department and os and not a hell of allot of editing more of a hobby i pick up now and then, Thanks so much for the advice, my only question is if i wanted to put this Video card http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1193&products_id=17207 instead would I lose lot of performance??

Yes. You would lose a LOT of performance. Here's the ranking as I see it:
6850 < 6870 < GTX 560 Ti < 7850 < 7870 < GTX 680

I'd try to get brands in this order:
1. MSI Twin Frozr II OC
2. ASUS
3. Gigabyte
4. EVGA
5. Others
