Need some help connecting monitors

OK so, I have an HP desktop with one 1 VGA, no DVI....

I have 2 monitors... Both have VGA & DVI... I am trying to connect the two together, but ive come to realize, you cant do VGA to the computer, then DVI from monitor to monitor (lol bare with me plz)... would I be able to go UBS to DVI/VGA, straight to monitor... or will i have to buy a new video card?

Please help, i need dual monitors for work next week

It looks like it will do the job based on the description.

A new video card should be less money and less hassle. What computer do you have and do you know if it has a PCI-e slot?

its an HP Slimline... not too sure what it has.. i ended up buying that converter on amazon.. i was going to get a new card but i had no clue which would be compatible.. if this adapter doesnt work.. got a video card you can recommend? i dont do gaming so nothing high end..

Which model number?

I wasn't going to recommend a "high end" video card since I stated a new video cards will cost less than the converter.
