Need some help for new parts

I have my PC already built I bought it as a prebuilt as Best Buy and I'm having trouble getting good performance as it's pretty old. I was wondering for around $300 maybe a little more what's the best upgrades I can make for overall better game performance? Also may need a new tower as mine is a stock ASUS one and is pretty full! Thanks!
