I am planning on building a cheap multimedia pc using Intel pentium G4560 on a very tight budget. This build is only going to be used for browsing & video playing. However the videos I am going to play are going to be high bitrate with no hardware acceleration support.I am a bit concerned about this so asking anyone here with a G4560 to do a small test.

This is a test video clip having ~20mbps overall bit rate with 10bit h264 & dual audio & multiple subtitle tracks. Those having G4560,can you please download & play it to tell me how much cpu it uses.

you might be better off getting a ryzen 5 2200g since it better hdmi 2.0 and 4k@60hz support. i dont think the g4560 can handle 4k streaming very well if it has to decode. but i could be wrong. the 2200g has relatively powerful graphics compared to the g4560.

Thank you for the reply. This video does not support hardware acceleration as it is 10bit h264 video. 8bit h264/8bit h265/10bit h265 can be hardware accelerated using supported processor or gfx card but not 10bit h264. That is why I wanted to know about cpu usage of G4560. When you say "1080p quality settings" did you mean you played this video inside web browser/streaming because I want to know the cpu usage when this video is played locally on pc using a video player software.

This system is only going to be used for video playing & browsing,no gaming or streaming.
