So Im wanting to upgrade my cpu from a i3 6100 and gpu GTX 1050 Ti, to an i5 6500 and 1060 6gb respectively.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7Zg6Fd, This is the exact setup I have except for the above mentioned parts.

Will this be a good setup to last me for about two years? Im mainly going to game on a regular 1080p monitor. No Renderin or any of that.

I have a budget of $600, Now going to microcenter I can get a new i5 6500 and 1060 6gb with a new psu, or ditch the psu and get an i5 6500 and gtx 1070?

Solution
I would update the motherboard BIOS to the newest version (to support Kabylake CPU's) and get the i5-7500, then I would get the GTX 1070.

If you sell your i3-6100/GTX 1050 ti I would use some of that money to invest in a good SSD. This Crucial is good for the price.
