Need some help with CPU

Hello all , I have a question about CPUs my PC is an HP pavilion T480 that has an Pentium 4 3,40Ghz CPU , I have found a really cheap I7 860 2,80GHz CPU (60€) , but my PC has the stock motherboard ( I believe it is an Diablo-UL6E (Not sure))
My question is , will it work well? Is it worth it?

The i7 won't fit in the motherboard. If you replace the motherboard and then get the i7, then you will see world's of improvement. Any i7 will CRUSH a Pentium 4.

Yeah that is what I tough , but since I saw the price of the I7 being so cheap I tough it could have somekind of problem , as for the motherboard do you know any cheap (really cheap) motherboard that would work with the i7 860 , I really don't want to spend much on upgrading this PC because I am going to build a gaming PC from scratch , but since I got the cheap i7 offer I would like to upgrade this one .

1st generation i7s are cheap because the motherboards are rare and expensive. The motherboard in your HP is probably unique to that tower and so a regular ATX motherbaord is unlikely to fit.

I see hmm seems that the guy that was selling me the i7 860 has sold it already . Altough I found another deal , i7 2.66ghz socket 1366 I dont know
the series number ( Waiting reply from seller) altough I am already looking for a motherboard for it not lucky tho , I am only finding AMD motherboards with that socket.
