need some help with determining what os to get

i ordered an evga 750 ti sc and i was wondering if i could use windows 7 with it because on nvidia's website it says that it runs using directx 11.2 and i think that api only works with windows 8.1 but on evga's website it says its compatible with 7 I would rather use 7 but if it only works with 8.1 then i will use that please give me some information

It will be compatible and fully functional with Windows 7, however you will not have Directx 11.2 support. Windows 7 only includes support for Directx 11.1 or earlier. I wouldn't worry about this as most games do not have support for Directx 11.2

DirectX is backwards compatible. I honestly would just get windows 8 as its pretty much the same or I believe cheaper than Win 7.
