Hi, i'm buying a gaming PC (about 700eu) and to finish my build I need to choose gpu.
I have:
r5 2600
b450m pro4
16 gb ram 3000mhz
550w 80+gold

I was thinking about new vega56 or new gtx 1660ti. Also was thinking about used gtx 1070ti or 1080
Thank u :)

Solution
I would vote GTX1660Ti if they're similarly priced to a Vega56. Less heat (~85W less power consumption compared to a Vega56 on auto voltage), and you wouldn't need a new PSU for that card.

Vegas aren't a good choice right now (never really were). Someday soon we should see an AMD 5600 which would fit into this performance bracket nicely, but until then....

id go with vega 56 just because it edges out the 1660ti slightly, but the downside of the vega 56 is that it consumes quite a lot of power and to fully get the best out of it you would have to overclock it or play around with it but you can get vega 64 level of performance with the vega 56. which power supply are you getting btw?

id go against a used 1070ti or 1080, but if you can find a good deal that you are absolutely sure that the card wasnt used for mining 24/7 in some warehouse i guess that would be a good buy.

Thank you for reply! I am thinking to buy SILENTIUMPC psu with 550W 80+gold or 650W 80+gold depends which GPU I'll buy

since its my first time to encounter that brand i googled it and cant really find a definitive answer if its reliable or good enough, so id suggest you change it, corsair rmx line is a good option and is very reliable or seasonic focus plus gold. 500w is plenty for a vega 56 and r5 2600 but if you can afford extra headroom like 650w you can go with that option too.

then if thats the case and within your budget you can just get the Vega 56, just make sure you listen to me when I say get a better powersupply, your pc might not even last a year if you cheap out on the main component that makes your whole setup usable in the first place.
