ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

OR

ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

My System as follows

CM HAF X
I7 3770K (Still undecided though)
Corsair Vengence or Dominator Memory
Corsair AX1200i PSU
2x690 GPU
SSD (Undecided)

Solution
1155 is better for strictly gaming, paired to 3570k

1155 with 3770k if you want to pair with 690's so you don't run into issues

I would consider getting 2 titans at that price point as they perform better than qaud sli (as you head into triple screen)

PCIE 3.0 x8 is enough lane IMO

With the specs you listed definitely the Z77, since the i7 3770k won't work with the R IV E

However, going with the dual 690's or any other SLI setup I would strongly suggest going with the R IV E and getting an i7 3930k. The added PCIe lanes will be much better for multigpu setups.

I don't know... I want a badass gaming tower trying tO find out what the difference is between the 2011 and 1155. Which is a better board for strictly gaming. Then the best CPU to go with it?
