I am new to this, i have an inspiron 6000, everything is still runnin g really smooth since i bought it 2 years ago, but i have searched for hours on over clocking but have got mixed information, so i was hoping i can get help here, here is cpuz information, the entire file is attached

so can this be overclocked with the pin mod? or with a program? as long as the pin mod has been test on this set up ill do it, but im not sure, i know very little, you guys probly have extensive infomation and experience thank you for help

Honestly, don't bother overclocking. While you can theoretically do it it won't be worth it with a pre-built system. A lot of the OCability comes from the mobo which you don't have a good one of, your chipset is trash for OCing and you can't adjust volts. I would never recommend a pin mod to anyone either. It is sort of one of those things that if you have to ask how you do it, you should never attempt it yourself, plus you won't have anyway to stability test beforehand so you run the risk of making your cpu worthless. There is a program that will let you OC in windows, the name escapes me right now, but like I mentioned earlier your mobo and stock cooling will make this pointless.

Overall, just don't bother attempting it with this comp. If you come back here with one that you built then we can help you out. Sorry if this seemed harsh but it is the truth.

also can i use this processors, it matches my fsb aspeed and socket size

or which ones can i put in, casue i have heard as long as its the same socket size, and fsb speed its good....
this seems good

Those procs won't work. You need to have the exact same socket, which you won't with those. Those are s478, your mobo supports s479 which is a mobile proc socket.
