need some honest opinions

hey guys i need some questions answered im planning to put evga gtx 970 ftw in sli with a gigabyte 990fx and a amd fx 8350. but i really want to know will the 8350 bottleneck the gpus. and if i should avoid it and get an i5 or i7 but i also want to know will the i5 4690k and an i7 keep up with the new games that will come out, as i want to kind of future proof my system as much as possible. want honest opinions no fanboys please. thanks

in your opinion do you think the 4 cores on the i5 4690k will last for the games that are coming out in the furture or do you think a i7 6 core is the way to go

Intel 4 cores should be good for several more years. i5 is great, but I would not try to talk anyone out of buying an i7 for a bit more future proofing, if there is such a thing, as well as being faster. i7-4790k will turbo to 4.4Ghz. without overclock and has hyperthreading. It's likely those specs will be exploited in games in the coming years more than they are now. AMD core performance is somewhat weak. I see no future there unless AMD ups its' game.

so i think i am going to buy the i5 4690k and overclock it as i am going to cool it with corsair h75 and pair it with evga 970 sli thanks for the help. oh and will i bottleneck the gpus if i use this cpu?

Get a good quality 750-850 watt PSU for SLI and overclock. EVGA B2, G2, P2 series are great.

yeah i actually already have the coolermaster vanguard 80+gold 750 watt psu
