Hi guys,

I'm about to start to build ny 4th comp.
Just wanted some input from some of ya, just please be specific in ur answers.

To date Ive decided to go with I7 920, an Asus p6t delux V2 on of the probs im having is iv yet to pick a mem.
going with 6 gigs I gater( any input on how much mem is best?). I was going with corsair or kingston( I really could use some input as to how much speed is best on the mem front was looking at 1333mhz). Its my biggest toss up right now.
Going to to with my 2 current hd and one raptor 300gig for OS H and maybe get another later and raid it and that would make a total of 4 (2 raptors and 2 current).

Im going to go with a nvidia 285 gtx a EVGA SC edition.

The biggest prob i have is guessing what PSU and how much watts I need.
I think 850 will las me even if I plan to get another 285 later down the road and do a dual SLI. (was looking into antec or corsair for that as well as for the frame).
Just need something that will fir all my crap and comes with fans and antec lian lis seem to do that.
If someone has some advice please let me know aspecially on the mem, PSU and frame front.

Thanks,
Sebastiian

Get the Corsair HX1000W PSU, it will give you room to upgrade in the near future if you want to add a second 200 serries video card. I'm sure 850W would be plenty, but it's not a bad idea to go a little over, especially when the price isn't that bad for the Corsiar HX1000W. The only problem you might have is finding the PSU in stock, it will probably be on back order and you'll have to wait.

Make sure to get Tri Chan DDR3, 1333mhz is fine, i went over to 1866mhz cosair dominator ddr3 and its a bit overkill. I had a hard time getting the timings right to run it at 1866mhz.

I wans told that 1600 is more then enough as the 920 is the main constrain. Can someone please give me some help on the mem front, I go it down to kinston, corsair and OCR. The corsair tech support told me to go with TR3X6G1600C8D and the Kingston people told me to gow with hyper x 1375. OCR i have yet to speak with but with the 3 options obove which do u thiink is best. Also i was told 750-850 ne fine on the PSU front so long as I dont do a 285 SLI in that case they told me I'll need a 1k PSU.

thanks for the input

Yes 1600 is more than enough...and like nick has said, 1333 is fine...but you can get the 1600 for cheaper rates too...
The corsair TR3X6G1600C8D is a very high performance RAM, that comes at a high price too...Get those if you are planning for an extreme overclock...

Else you can get any of these...
Corsair TR3X6G1600C9
OCZ OCZ3P1600LV6GK
OCZ OCZ3G1600LV6GK

Are you getting the ful 1866mhz of mem on ur 920? (since u have simular system i want to build) and can u OC you'r mem?

Intel tech support told me that cuz of the 920 u can go above 10333 or something like that.
