Im looking to upgrade to some new pc components. Id like to upgrade the CPU and Motherboard and maybe ram. Thanks.

Budget:$500

What i have:
CPU: fx-6300
GPU: GTX 1060
Motherboard: MSI 760GMA P23 (FX)
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Storage: 1TB HDD
PSU: 650w silver evga
Dimensions: 18.4 x 7.6 x 18.9 inches

If you change the cpu, many other pieces are going as well. Here’s what I got...but you could swap the Ryzen 5 for a 3 to save a few bucks...

If you can go over 500 by a small amount, an MSI ATX b350 motherboard would add around $15.- to the total.

I would in general recommend the Intel to most users since a disproportionate number of those asking for hardware advice are asking how to get a better gaming experience.

I am told by several ryzen owners that the AMD system is really held back by slow ram. 2133 ram is slow.

The Ryzen setup is nearly identical to what I have. Definitely looks good and works fine...although I have a Pentium and the b250gt5 instead of the b350gt5, but the ram looks cool. That is true though, the ram
