Buying some new parts for my PC and this is what I've come up with. I have everything on this list except the moBo and cpu. Just looking to get some opinions on how you think it's run or if there'd be a better option staying in the same price around basically.

Indecision on mobos:
Asus M5a78L-M
Asrock 970 pro3 r2.0 atx am3+
MSI 970A-g43 atx am3+
MSI 970A-g46-R

andddd CPUs
AMD FX-6300 3.5ghz 6 core
AMD FX-4350 4.2ghz quad core

Solution
dual cores for gaming is on the way out. the i3 at least has 4 threads. the pentium has reached mythical status and folks talk it up like it is the second coming. but the fact is, it is still a dual core cpu and is being left behind in gaming.

much better than a pentium build.
Already have the 16gb from a previous computer. All i'm about to upgrade is the mobo and the cpu but i'm not entirely clear on whats good etc. The reviews i've read on the ones i have in that list are decent but I'm just unsure as to any flaws they may have or drawbacks compared to others in the same price range.

I would get a G3258 rather than a fx quad. They're not very powerful and won't do that well in gaming. You could oc the hell out of the g3258 and it should run things pretty well. Plus you'll be able to upgrade later on.

However, the fx-6300 would be a great CPU to go with over the 4350. Just make sure you get a 970 chipset to OC it and it'll run everything nicely
