Need some suggestions please

Hello

First off here are the specs:
i7-4790k @ stock
16 gb g.skill
Corsair 860w supply
Asus GTX 970
Monitor: BenQ XL2430T - 1080p, 144hz gaming monitor.

I am debating if it's worth upgrading my monitor to a BenQ XL2730Z which is a 1440p monitor @ 144Hz along with a GTX 980Ti. Between these 2 I am thinking it will be close to $1200-1400.
Should I just wait for Pascal and then get the monitor or get the 980 Ti along with the monitor right now?
