[SOLVED] Need some suggestions to what PCI-e cards i should get

I was told to get a PCI-E card because my computer doesn't have a built-in wifi adapter, but I'm unsure what to get. I have a Z370 Gaming Plus motherboard and my network modem router is a Netgear NightHawk. I'm unsure which PCI-e card I should get because I mainly need it for gaming purposes

Do you have anything more specific than PCI-Ex1 Wireless AC card? I'm resorting to using wifi because connecting via Ethernet isn't possible for my situation.

Can you brief it out what kind of PCI-e you are referring to in the question you gave?

What do you mean "what kind of"? My computer doesn't have a built-in wifi adapter so I was told by a friend to get a PCI-e card instead of a USB one because my main use is for gaming. Sorry if my question was vague

You better use the ethernet cable.

Any CAT 5E cable will work.

They are cheaper and more reliable as compared to PCI-e cards.

Just plug and play.

As u can see, OP, folks here don't think much of WIFI. If it comes with it oh well. If I were you I just go into amazon, search for something with no less than 4 stars reviews, within you budget, and nothing Chinese sounding, Dragon, 5Stars, GreatWall blah-blah. With a detachable antenna so you can relocate, use ext antenna as needed. Use same chipset as your WIFI router maybe.

If I could I'd like to but in my case, I'd need a fair amount of cable and it'd have to go upstairs as well which isn't really ideal.

It will fit any motherboard in the world.

Agreed. Either of those two PCI-Ex1 WiFi cards will do. What kind of connection you get will depend on how far from the Wireless hub you are and what kind of obstacles (walls) the signal has to pass through. It may or may not be good enough for gaming.
