I just need some advice and some help bcuz im trying to stream in 1080p 60fps on youtube but I game in 1440p and im using OBS. My computer isnt weak as u can tell so there should be no problem cranking up some settings on OBS. But im confused on the output resolution and the rescale output. I have my base canvas res set to 1440p and i have my output set to 1080p. Which in theory should make it output 1080p to the viewers even though my base res is 1440p. The whole idea of doing this is so I can have a really good quality stream and also not drop any frames when im playing. The 1st problem is that I have no idea what the difference between rescale output (in the output tab) and the output resolution(in the video tab) is. Should I have rescale output set to 1080p? or leave it blank. The 2nd problem aka the main problem is that I tried running test streams in 1080p 60fps and the quality looks so blurry. Im using 7000 bitrate which should be plenty for 1080p 60fps streaming. I tried both x264 and NVENC and I havent had any luck. Ive heard x264 is better quality wise so i want to try to go with that. I can use both considering I have both a good gpu and cpu. I have my cpu usage preset to veryfast (should I go slower to fix this problem?) Is my upload speed not good enough to send the constant bitrate that I choose? Idk what to do. I watched plenty of tutorials online on what the best OBS Streaming settings are so I have the basic settings down.
