need soundblaster drivers or alt solution.

Hi having installed win 7 on a SATA XP machine - HP 7100C (specs are good),
I find no sound and of course no drivers. I stuck in a Sound blaster lying around in the hopes it would work. No go.

Will it be possible to get drivers for this?

got the solution. uninstalled the sound card and turned onboard audio.

Now, believe it or not I found a real honest to God genuine driver finder, amongst all the do nothing crap. I was at a Microsoft site for help and this guy recommended doing Windows Upgrader and I ended up on a pay site after the program actually found all the drivers including for audio. Program cost about $30, but found the right card and drivers. Works great now. so anyone in the same predicament, Try Driver Update, if you want to shell out the bucks
