Hi everyone,

I am using a JBL Charge 3 with aux connection to my PC.
I use the Charge 3 as speakers as well as a microphone.
However I recently unplugged my aux cable from my PC(relocated my desk) and now I cannot get the microphone to work on my pc.

I am using Realtek HD Audio Manager on my PC and I believe there is a setting that is messed up and not allowing my Charge 3 to be used as a mic any longer.

I am using the speaker in Overwatch to listen to the sounds of the game as well as a microphone to speak in voice chat.

I current have the AUX cable plugged into the back of my charge 3 and into my "pink" audio jack in the back of my pc.

I only have 3 options on the back of my PC for audio connection:
Green - which I believe is for speakers
Pink - which I believe is for mic
Blue - not sure

To make things worse I'm not sure where the AUX cable was plugged into.

I also have options for which audio input I connect my Aux cable into.
Green - Line in, Headphones, Front speakers out
Pink - Line in, Headphones, front speakers out, mic in,rear speakers out, center speaker out, side speaker out
Blue - Line in, Headphones, front speakers out,,rear speakers out, center speaker out, side speaker out

I do not remember the combination of settings to make my JBL Charge 3 be used as speakers and a microphone.

If anyone can help me I'd love to hear suggestions!

Thanks,

The color codes apply to all PC sound devices whether they are on the motherboard or an add in card.

Pink is for microphones. If you are plugged into the pink port and the mic does not work then it is either non-functional or is disabled in the advanced sound properties. Right click your sound icon in the right hand lower system tray, select recording devices and make sure your microphone is enabled.
