Need SSD just for PUBG for $20

Solution

Just don't buy an SSD from ebay or something, and you should be fine. Look up reviews before you buy, always.
technically you could get a 8gb SSD for that price, like this one , however the game will receive updates, it will get bigger than 8gb, and the ssd will become usless (not to mention the value of that drive is abominable!). Save your money until you can get a (at least) 64gb ssd from a reputable brand.

reputable brand? any suggestions?

Also helps to make sure it's compatible with your system. The $20 M2 drive above may very well not be unless you have a newer computer.

The larger an SSD is the faster it is. Small SSDs in the 16-32GB range aren't going to be much faster than a hard drive. They are about $40. For $10 more you can get a 120GB drive that not only will be faster it won't run out of space when you get a game update. SSDs also need about 20% to remain as free space or they slow down dramatically.

Not high end by any means but not terrible.
