Hello all,

My PC is an intel i5 7500k, Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 GAMING - 3GB but I own a really old monitor which is from 2007 (Samsung syncmaster BW226)

I usually play in a dark room (no lights) and the eyes hurts after a short while.

At the moment I play 'SQUAD' and spotting other plays is important as 1-2 bullets will kill you

Will my GPU strong enough to run the game and any other games as FHD res in 24inch monitor with 144/165HZ ? or do I need to upgrade my GPU too?

Can anyone recommend me on a gaming monitor, withing a budget of 300USD

Thanks

AOC C24G1
ASUS VG248QE
DELL S2419HGF
IIYAMA G-MASTER GB2560HSU-B1

They are all Full HD (1920x1080), 144Hz, 1ms and all except Asus have Free-sync. They range from cca 210-260€ where I live (southern Europe).

A guy from a computer shop told me that my GPU card isn't enough for a 144hz monitor... is he right? won't I be able to run 144hz at 60fps + with my GPU?

Should I go with VA or TN panel ? IPS with low gtg (1ms for example) is very expensive

Depends on the game and details (low, medium, high, ultra).
I have exact same card (only 6GB version which is only about 10% faster than 3GB) and I have QHD (2560x1440) resolution and 144-155Hz monitor. Now as I said before, depends on the game and details. Until I buy a new GPU I get:
full 155 fps in Overwatch (medium details) but only
60-70 fps in Witcher 3 (medium deatils)

Which monitor do you have?

So must I get G-SYNC since FreeSync won't work with my GPU?

I bought myself a DELL S2719DGF and am pretty happy with it, very good price performance. It has free-sync (which officially doesn't support nvidia GPUs) but G-sync works flawlessly on that monitor. It's very fast, I wish it would be IPS not TN but that would practically double the price of it.

Some FreeSync monitors (unoficially) support nvidia GPUs, check web for supports. This one works, tested ;)

What do you think about Asus VG258Q ? I
