So my dad wants a PC to connect to his UHD TV. Here's what I've come up with...
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TVQKt6

-Is this sufficient for playing latest titles at medium - high settings at UHD res?
-Is it worth it to upgrade to i7-4790 or a GTX980?
I've haven't used AMD before so I'm kind of nervous.

I'm all open for suggestions, please let me know anything I could improve.
Thank you :)

you dont realy need i7 for gaming ...the improvments with i7 are minor ...only few fps gained
on other hand 390x atm can handle most games on 4k on medium settings ...but its not future proof build ... we dont know if it will be able to handle future titles

It's this one...

I'm pretty sure it's 3840x2160.
Also, having liquid inside a computer makes me nervous.. :ouch:

Edit: Model might be a little different than ours because of regions, but it's pretty much the same.

Thing is, my dad just wants to play the games he used to when he was younger, like Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. But if he decides to play latest AAA's I'd want to keep that as an option.
What gpu would you suggest?
I want it to last at least 2 - 3 years.

Pretty much the same is not the same and your link don't work.
But for 4K you will need to up the video card to a GTX 980ti at the lease and even 2 in sli would be best making the case you picked to small.

So after a bit of education I came up with another build...

If my dad decides to play the latest titles, I'll sli two 980's.
What do you think?
