[SOLVED] Need suggestions for upgrade (currently have XFX Radeon R7 240 2GB)

Good points. I'll just get this 500w supply: https://www.ebay.com/itm/400646802599
Eww, the idea isn't to go from a junky power supply to a mystery junky power supply.

This is the computer building equivalent of taking a pill you randomly find on the ground in a parking lot.

This is about as cheaply as you'll get away with to make it worth the bother.

If you are willing to look on the used market, 1060s and 980ti's go for cheap in my area on craigslist. However, if you would like to but a new graphics card,
This rx580, while slightly over your budget, will drastically improve your gameplay. However, you need to make sure of some things.
1. it will fit in your case
2. your power supply can handle it
3. it is not being throttled by any other components in your system like your CPU

This is the pc (all the internals have recently been moved to a larger Cyberton tower and it now uses an SSD hard drive, for what it's worth): https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-m52bc-us004s-tower-fx-8300-3-3-ghz-12-gb-2-tb/
Not an expert by any means so take my word with a grain of salt.
The spec sheet you listed there doesn't have any specifications on the power supply, but my guess is because it was a pre-built , the PSU you have in there probably isn't great. 350w is probably pushing it after putting in a RX 570 and you might want to consider swapping it out for at least a 450w 80+ rated unit just to give yourself some headroom, especially if the current unit in there is some unrated no name death box.
