Need the cheapest possible setup

Hello!

I wanted to know the cheapest mobile thing that will play Black Ops II at low settings at 50+ FPS. I don't care if it's a laptop or a tablet, I don't care about any design aspects, I just want to know one option.

There is no TABLET that can play BLACK OPS II. Now there is a service called OnLive which is now working with STEAM, as the ONLIVE servers does all the 'gaming' and all it does is stream the video to your screen, so it doesn't matter if your on a Smartphone, Xbox, Tablet, whatever you can play many different titles without any need to reinvest in hardware.

That said, MOBILE platform costs 2X the desktop price, and no it doesn't matter you want low settings your still demanding 50FPS or better, and that doesn't happen by just putting on low settings. A common desktop system that can play 1080P, High settings, and 45FPS or better across any game, starts at $700. That is buying a PC today AND expecting to play today's titles and forward. Mobile side, this translates to $1200 or better normally, because the ADDITION of a addon video card to the laptop is the only way the game will play, onboard video isn't cut out for 'gaming' only to perform the other 90% other things (Word, Email, Youtube, etc.).

Due to the additional costs, AND that most people making post like yours are more familiar with consoles, AND consoles last 10 years as compared to 5 years for PCs before you HAVE to replace it, I would refer you back to going console if you want the 'cheapest thing that will play Black Ops II', which is a PS3 or Xbox 360 for around $149.

Yep no way a tablet that is "cheap" could even run Black ops II even on low settings with 50+ fps. On the other hand it's completely doable with a laptop. With an A6 or A8 you should be able to run it fine.

Uhm APUs are NOT for gaming, they are for the other 90% use (Web surfing, watching Youtube, etc.) as advertised by AMD as low power, low cost, low demand uses. Now the newest top END APU has actually be able to make it ON the charts, so I am hoping AMD is finally stopping this trend (since they gave up on the FX line) http://static.techspot.com/articles-info/601/bench/CPU1.png But honestly the performance is constantly tested and retested to below any of the FX or iCores, even on 'daily things' in comparision. I mean grab a $249 i3 laptop at Walmart and performs better then the APU as well, so it isn't a "priced better then Intel" as a solution either, since they dramatically dropped the Haswell pricing scheme right after launch to crush into AMD's "pricing better for same performance" model. Sighs..

An APU can be used for light gaming without a problem. When comparing laptops an A6 or A8 will outperform an i3 with intel HD when gaming.
