Need the perfect GPU

I need a GPU as I have RMA'd my old one as it was faulty.

I don't know whether I should get a GTX or an R7.

It cannot be anymore than £80.

I need something decent.

However, I will acknowledge the fact that certain games run better on different architecture. So maybe we could start there. What games would you be playing?

What is the brand and model (not just wattage) of your PSU? A R7 260X is probably just within your budget, but needs a decent 400W PSU with a PCIe power cable. If your PSU is weaker, you can get a GTX750Ti; some do, but many versions do not need a PCIe power cable and would run on a 300W PSU.

I would prefer it be Nvidia.

I will be playing games like ETS2, Garry's Mod, DayZ (Standalone when I get it), Driver: SF, GTA V when it comes out (not bothered if I have to play it on low settings to play it lagless)

At the moment I have an AMD FX-6300, so anything that you think is within my budget range and will do good with my CPU.

PSU isn't a problem for me on these type budget cards.

I have a EVGA (100-W1-0500-KR) 500W 80 plus PSU with a PCIe power cable. EVGA (100-W1-0500-KR).

Ok right, then with a preference for nVidia, you would have no problem with a GTX750Ti if you can find one in your price range. If not, I believe you'd want the AMD R7 260X over the GTX750.

I have found a GTX 650 for £67. The GTX 750 seems a bit out my price range. Do you think the 650'll do the job?

The GTX650 is pretty weak. I wouldn't get anything less than a GTX650Ti or GTX750. The R7 260X would be stronger than either of those.

What do you think of the R7 250? The 260X is slighly out of my range.

UPDATE: I'd rather a GTX though because I absolutely love the GeForce Experience Control Panel. I'd also love to use ShadowPlay to record as Fraps always eats up my memory.

I'd try to find a way to save a little money every day; skip that morning cup of coffee, or pack a lunch, until you can get the better card.
