Hi everyone.

I'm looking for some general advice on a new PC.

Currently looking at a custom build, and planning on spending quite a lot of money.

I'm not overly in tune with how good this build might be so wanted to see how powerful people thought it might be before splashing out cash on it.

Build is as follows:

CASE: Corsair Carbide SPEC-04 Case
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ELITE
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K
CPU COOLER: Corsair Hydro H80i V2
PSU: Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold 850W
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 8GB GDDR6
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3000MHz Memory
SSD: 1TB Samsung 860 EVO
HDD: Seagate 8TB BarraCuda Pro 7200RPM

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

That's a very good build. I would only argue to invest a better case with some dust filters. Since you're spending so much on quality products, it might be a good idea to get a somewhat quality enclosure as well.

Something like an NZXT H500 or a Fractal Design Meshify C TG or even a Phanteks Evolv.

I would also suggest the Corsair H100i or H110i instead. Getting a 240 or 280 Radiator is much better. With a 120 or 140 Rad, you will get better performance from an air cooler like the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3.

That's great, I'll look into changing a few things then.

Thank you :)

I would honestly get the 9700K as opposed to the 9900K. They're literally identical CPUs and the only real difference is that the 9900K has a couple of extra threads. If you drop that, you can upgrade your CPU cooler to an H115i Pro, and that would be much better than the H80.

Nice build
but i had a h80i i dont think it will help the i9.

Would suggest h110i minimum.
Agree with a better case.
I have 2 of the thermaltake f31 suppressor

And 1 phanteks

I can say this in a difference between the cases.
I can push/pull rad up top in suppressor but not in the phanteks it would not clear ram slots.
It is due to the where the rads are mounted.
The phanteks is mounted in the middle of the top,
On the f31 it is mount off center closer to the wimdow side of case.
Hope this helps.
