Hey, I'm building a new computer and was just looking to see if anyone had any tips or pointers for me! Thanks.

Here is my system:
Corsair obsidian 800D Case
EVGA GEforce gtx 570 HD
G.Skill Ripjaw X 8GB DDR3 2133 CAS 9
4 x 12" white cold cathode
11 x Xigmantec 120mm case fan
2 x Corsair force GT 60GB SSD in RAID 0
Asus p8z68 deluxe lga 1155 atx mobo
Intel i7-2600k CPU
Hitachi 1.5TB HDD
2x sunbeam 6 channel 30w/chan. Fan controller
Arctic silver 5
Cooler Master SPG 1000W modular PSU

WC components:

Xspc rx480 rad
10ft white 1/2 ; 3/4 tubing
10ft black tubing
18 x mini hose clamps

Why BIX rads? If you have a specific reason, that's fine, but just curious since people usually don't get those unless they are for a specific reason.

You are right on for the amount of rads you'll need...might consider more if you plan to overclock moderately or aggressively.

I'd also go with a larger Rad than a single 120mm, look for at least a triple 120mm instead

No, absolutely not. Only run in serial...no parallel splits.

Make sure all your fittings match the Internal Diameter of the tubing (if tubing is 1/2" ID, then the fittings need to be 1/2" OD). I'd also go with a larger Rad than a single 120mm, look for at least a triple 120mm instead. Also pick up 2 "Y" splitters.

RAD>RES>Pump>Splitter>CPU&GPU>Splitter>RAD

I chose bix because of there high fpi density as I am using 5200rpm / 240cfm fans. Black ice are said to be the best performing under these circumstances, unless I am wrong?

Also I think he mention to go parallel if I were running solely on a 120 as that would be the only option I could see, although it really wouldn't work anyways.

BIX rads are high FPI, you are correct, so running high CFM fans would be the best...but you realize, that is going to be incredibly loud...where are you finding fans that run that speed? I've seen some that run ~3000RPM...where do you find 5400RPM fans?

You could also just run a thicker rad with slower fans and get similar performance. I can't imagine those fans are cheap you are looking at...for what you are going to spend on fans and rads, you could run a much quieter setup that would perform the same or better.

Ya I know it's killer, but I really want this to be an optimal rig, and considering noctuas poor out at 35$ for 70 cfm at 17db and these at 1/2 speed are 100cfm at 21db I chose these but it is absolutly not set in stone so PLEASE recommend!

XSPC RX series 360 rad...little thicker, less dense, $20 cheaper than your BIX360, would be a great alternative with medium speed fans...even better in push/pull with slower, cheaper fans. I wouldn't really recommend anything less than this one rad and at least 3 decent 1500-2000RPM fans for your 3x GPU loop. Should be enough for that, if you wanted to keep it simple, yet moderately effective. Look at bumping to a little bigger if you want better cooling...

So what about the 120, should I keep that for the GPU? Also I will be trying for 4.8-5ghz on the CPU, will that rad with slower fans work alright? If I decided to go for a 480 rad what do I use to hang it off the back of an 800D?

Hang on...single CPU and single GPU, correct? For some reason, I was thinking of another thread for a guy an 3x GPUs....my mistake.

You would be fine with a single XSPC RX360 for your CPU and GPU. Sorry for the confusion. However, with those clocks, you may consider at least an additional 120...if not 220 of those same rads. i5 2500k's get mighty hot above 4.5ghz...take this into consideration.

You could also go the route of getting the XSPC Rasa RX360 kit and adding to it unless you wanted the power of the D5/MCP655 pump...

Ya I don't really trust the kits quality, what about running a 480 off the back for the CPU and a 360 for the GPU (just in case I do expand to sli or even tri.) thanks for spending so much time with me this really is helpful. Could you recommend some fans aswell?

It's a very decent beginner kit, but the pump could be stronger.

A 480 and a 360 in that loop? That would give you a lot of cooling power and would give you some headway into at least another GPU...maybe squeezing in all 3.

I know there are some decent Xigmatek fans people are using lately...I'd have to look them up. A lot of die hards use Yate Loons or Gentle Typhoons, but they can be hard to find. Anything with decent CFM, RPM and noise level in conjunction with decent price should be your goal. There are a lot of good fans in the $10-$13 range...honestly, far too many to even begin listing.

Those are actually a good choice. That is a lot of fans...$110 on fans alone? I'm not trying to discourage you, but it will make that thick rad pretty fat, so make sure you have room. Otherwise, that would be excellent performance and airflow for that loop....enviable, actually.

Will 1/4" cable sleeving with all 8 fans cables in it or do I need 2 separate sleeves.? I was thinking running 8 xigmantec on the outside and 3 siverstone on the inside as they are more thin.

Are you sleeving them individually, or making a sleeve to run all of them through? I personally may not know the best answer, just trying to get a feel of what you are wanting to do. Maybe Orangejuice will see your post...he just got done with a really clean build...may ask his advice...?
