Hey, I'm making my first ever build by next week and I just want some tips. Also, feel free to look over my proposed parts and see if anything is incompatible, etc.
Budget: $500
Parts list:
i3-6100
H110M-A Motherboard
ASUS RX 480 4GB
EVGA 500w PSU
Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR4
Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01
500GB WD [salvage from current pc]
Notes**
-I would wait for Ryzen 5/3 to drop but I need to make this computer soon for school, and Ryzen 5's lowest price is ~170. I haven't seen any AM4+ motherboards under 70.
-G4560 is an i3 killer no doubt, but they do not sell them in retailers like Microcenter and Frys. Only reason I'm avoiding it is bc in the event that a part is DOA I don't want to go through the hassle of returning stuff through mail. Also, I've heard that the new Kaby Lakes require a BIOS flash on old motherboards, and new ones are ~80.
Nevertheless, if your suggestions include these, feel free to post them.
I live near a microcenter and frys, so if you want to help me make a build, try and use those retailers. If not, then I'm open to suggestions from online retailers; but won't probably focus on them. Again, my budget is $500; including taxes/fees (I have W10, monitor, keyboard, etc, so don't worry about those)
