I have
I currently have:
  1. i7-2600k
  2. 16gb DDR 3
  3. Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA1155
  4. Using onboard graphics to run 2 monitors
  5. EVGA 550 B3 80 plus Bronze Power supply

My video output is gone. No monitor signal with onboard graphics nor with a graphics card I have in there.
I removed the graphics card to try on board graphics and nothing. So I suspect the motherboard being so old it went bad.
What else could I try to trouble shoot this.. or just buy an older LGA 1155 for the 17-2600k?
I don't wnat to buy a new cpu and ram to accommodate a newer mother board. I use this PC for multitasking and it is perfect with the 17 cpu and the 16gb ddr 3.

Suggestions are very much appreciated. THanks a ton.

Going off fuzzy and possibly wrong memory here....
I recall there being a setting in BIOS on some of my older chipsets for selecting the onboard or dedicated GPU for graphics output. Perhaps if you reset the CMOS it might default it back to onboard?
Still doesn't really explain there being no output on either method.

Ok. I removed the battery and now I have monitors back.
Thanks
Should u use the pc without the battery? Seems to work fine and this battery was months old so not sure why it drained so fast
