I am required to complete two brief tests for my job, if anyone is aware on how to just do "Data Entry alpha nume

Means they are going to test how well you can enter a mix of letters and numbers, either by dictating them to you, or testing how fast you can reproduce what is on the screen with accuracy. A mix of letters and numbers will make you pay attention as a 0 and O look close, just like a 1 and l.

practice practice practice is the only way to get better.

prop a book up in front of you and start typing from some random page. copy a page and then go back and see how many errors you made. then do it again and again and again. there is really now other way to get good at typing. practice, practice practice......

the random letters and numbers is not that big of a deal once you are comfortable on the keyboard. you just have to pay attention and focus as you take the test.

edit: turn off auto-correct first so you know how many errors you have made and not how many have slipped through the correction filter :)

If you don't know how to type, then data entry isn't for you. I learned how to type in high school about 20+ years ago and everyone laughed that I was taking a "girls course" since it was on typewriters and that was a woman's job back then. Now I can still type almost 90 words a minute.

No one is going to do the test for you, and even if they did, then what, you show up for work the first day and can only type 5 words a minutes by hunt and pecking and you're fired anyways.

Go do some learn-how-to-type exercises online and hope they don't have a high score set for the job.

i took typing in high school for about 10 minutes.... sitting there hitting random stuff as the teacher called them out bored me to death and i quickly dropped the class.

only many years later after the internet got going and i spent some time in some chat rooms did i actually start to develop some typing skills. i had to or not be able to keep up with the conversation. i don't do the classic touch typing but i am still plenty fast with my self taught memorized layout and few looks pecking style 😀
