[SOLVED] Need to configure a switch sg220-26p

Hi!

I need to configure a switch for sensors.
I have a main network 192.168.2.xxx and it has a dhcp that is sharing out ips but i have ran out of ips. But i will have like 17 sensors behind that switch that need ips as well.
Do i need to make another network like 192.168.3.xxx that can also share over 200 ips or what is the best solution with the switch i have?

Use a different subnet mask!!

If you are using a /24 (255.255.255.0) you will have 254 available addresses
If you are using a /23 (255.255.254.0) you will have 510 available addresses

Please give more detail as to how you currently have this set up.

I have a cable coming in from an ISP, going to a router and the router is connected to the switch, but how should i configure it?

Change the subnet mask in the dhcp setting in your router.

What is the make and model of your router, some will not allow a move from a /24, what is your DHCP range set at (Start and end IP addresses)?
