Need to download signed drivers to a cd for hp pavilion dv9700

are there any drivers to fix the dvd on the pavilion? my drive doesnt even open!!! this is pretty cheesey considering its never worked!!! or am i at the mercy of a pc store to rape me a weeks pay to get it to work properly?

Not sure if you're having a hardware problem or if it's simply a driver related issue, but you can look on the HP website for your model # to download any drivers. Have a look here HP Pavilion dv9700 Entertainment Notebook PC series and enter your model number for the correct drivers.
