I'm upgrading my PC.
Got a new mobo, CPU, and RAM coming.
I need to upgrade my graphics card also.

That upgrade has become a bit complex.
I've always used VGA then DVI.
My last card had 2x DVI ports.
Finding a card with 2x DVI had gotten a bit hard to do without stepping down in capability.
As I look around, I see that HDMI is better for TV, not so good for monitors.
I was leery of Display Port.
But, it looks to be the way to go now.
My other interest is in using the GPU to supplement Adobe applications.

I'm looking at picking up a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 128 Bit PCI-E Graphic Card.

I have lost several cards to fan failure.
Dual fans are the first consideration for choosing this card, second is price point, third is that It is a small step up from my previous card.
It has 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, & 1x Display Port.

1.
Will I be able to daisey-chain dual monitors as 1 continuous desktop from the Display Port on this card?
My assumption is yes, but by using an MST hub, adding another hundred buck to the upgrade.

2.
My terminology is lacking, but can the GPU on this card be used by Adobe apps for calculations, processing, or what ever?
