Need to get a second monitor to mirror the primary

I've tried y-adapters (the signal got messed up and the primary monitor was rendered useless) and using 2 video cards (windows just extends the desktop to the side, can't find any option to have it mirror the primary). All I need is to have the second monitor show exactly what is on the first. Anyone have any ideas?

Hardware: AIW Radeon 8500DV 64meg AGP
Radeon 7000 pci
Primary monitor: Viewsonic P220f
Secondary monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 151s
Software: Windows XP

Thanks in advance.

Try This:

<A HREF="http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10022024&loc=101" target="_new">http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10022024&loc=101</A>

This was the cheapest one I could find by searching for "video splitter" on buy.com.

They also have 4 video and 8 video options too.

Alternatively, you could get another video card that supports clone mode, such as (some of?) the Matrox G-series cards or the Matrox Parhelia. (I got a G450 and a Parhelia, and both support exactly what you're trying to do).

Personally, I'd go with the video splitter...

Hope that helps,
