Need to install secondary disk (new SSD) but run OS on it

I own an Alienware 17 that has 2 storage slots in it. The primary one came with a 1 TB HDD, and I just installed a 240 GB SSD on the spare one. How can I run my OS off the new SSD and retain all the other data from the old HDD? I don't have the OS copy that came along with the laptop. Using win10 (if that matters).
