Which board is much better for Q6600 procie
P35 chipset based or NVIDIA nForce® 680i SLI™?

Used for gaming and multimedia. At home only.

I am confused between Abit IP35 Pro or ASUS P5N32-E SLI

The Abit is based on the P35 chipset and the Asus is based on the 680i chipset. If you are thinking of doing SLI go with the Asus.

Get 680i if u want SLI , get P35 if u dont want SLI , very simple

The ABIT is a very nice board. I have always had very good results with ABIT and based on your reply, it seems logical.

The P35 has a slight lead in performance over the 680i and if you ever want to overclock it goes higher too.

How about Abit IX38 Quad GT X38?
priced almost doubled than ABIT IP35. Does the performance and features does 2x too? or worth it for the price...

Does dual channel RAMs necessary? I am planning a dual 1GB DDR2 800 which is priced cheaper than higher specs

Dual Channel uses a matched pair, ANY matched pair, of modules. You can get a pair of Ballistix PC2-6400 (2x1GB) for around $65 after rebate if you look around, and those overclock to around 1200MHz data rate if that's what you're after.
