need to know what active dvi to hdmi i need to make a 3rd monitor work

can someone give me an active dvi to hdmi adapter to buy to make my 3rd screen work. i picked up one from best buy, but it must be a passive because it wont work. if someone who knows more than me could help that would be great. thanks

Not all graphics cards will support 3 screens. What graphics card do you have?

raedon 5770 crossfire. guy i bout the rig from says it runs 3 screens. rig came with 3 acer p244w

HDMI to DVI does not require an active converter. The signals are the same, just the pinout is different. You may have some issue other than the adapter.

Radeon 5000 series cards can only run two monitors via DVI/HDMI, any additional monitors must be run through DisplayPort.
