Need to know where to find little brown power button ribbon fastener for motherboard end (zif connector?)

When I removed the power button cable, the little plastic piece that keeps the cable secure popped out all the way and broke one of the legs. . Although, the ribbon cable will go all the way in, it will not stay because that piece is broken on the board end. Where can I get this piece (zif connector?) It is a Pavilion DV 6500 series laptop.

They are available on ebay. Measure your connector if you do not know any specs. May need to buy the connector along with the fastener.

What exactly am I looking for? What is it called? It was my fault as I had forgotten that kind of connector is NOT supposed to come out, rather it should just slide a little bit out on each side and you take out or replace the ribbon into the slot and push the connector secure on both sides. Connector itself is fine just that little brown piece is broken. Ribbon is about 1/4" long.

Sorry for the long link replying via phone but you need somethingnlike this. You need to know the length/pins i suppose. Latching mechanism should be similar across manufacturers as it is a standardized connector

Thankyou, but that is not what I need... That looks more like for the keyboard. Also, the bad fastener is not on the MB, it is on the bar that has power button, leds for the volume, and dvd controls. It's the part you have to pop out when replacing keyboard or something else inside. It also has the speaker bar attacked to it and the part that is broken is on that bar. There are two 1/4" cables attached to it, one for power and speaker and one for the led's. If I cannot find that little piece, I could get that whole pop off bar... but what is that called so I can look for it?

You could find a generic connector though not specifically marketed for pavillion 6500
