Need to lower Price to Under $1000

I have a $1000 budget but these price exceed them. Suggestions on what to fix?

The Xeon he chose can't be overclocked, so no cooler.
Ifyou want an overclockable build, then stick to the i5 and the z97 board, but it will be quite more expensive and performance won't be much better...

OC is basically what you're paying for over that 1000$ budget limit. Unless you want to buy something pathetic like Pentium G3258 JUST so that you could OC, but that would be a serious sacrifice of performance.

So yeah, OC is overrated.

I agree, OC isn't obligatory to play even at ultra/max settings.
It also does NOt mean you're getting the best bang for your buck, as actually you're paying al ot more just to be able to OC.
OC is just something that enthusiasts like to do, but if you really think about it, its main value is a feeling of "accomplishment" builders get when they take a chip to its limit...

If you think about pricing, well, you might get an additional 25-30% in performance (in best case scenarios) on the CPU (which isn't such a big deal for gaming, when the chip is already high end). But you're paying about 25-30% more on chip+mobo+cooler, so it's not so much of a big deal...

If you factor in the price of the whole system the % difference is not that big, but then you should also factor in the performance of the whole system. And since GPU is usually the bottleneck, then you're still not getting much of an improvement when overclocking the CPU.
