Not sure where else to put this. I wanna set up a video editing rig. I already got a 10,000 rpm HD that Im gonna use for the OS. Im gonna get another, larger 10K HD for writing/editing on. The OS drive is a LVD, 80 pin. So i know I need a 80-68 pin adapter.
So whats a good scsi card? Never dealt with raid, scsi or anything like that. So any input is appreciated. I read a little a terminaters for arrays and some other insanely complex crap. Can someone explain setting up a scsi system for a newbie?

I would look at an Adaptec or LSI SCSI RAID controller.

I know that the SCA 80pin SCSI drives are cheaper, but I really don't trust the adapters themselves. I would get an authentic 68pin SCSI drive, but that's just my personal preference.

Any newer SCSI drive usually doesn't have onboard termination. Termination is needed because the signal has to be terminated so it doesn't loop back.

The terminator will be on the end of the cable you'll be using. If you're not careful, the SCA-to-LVD adapter will be the source of your nightmares for a long time to come. To put it bluntly, you better get the proper one.
