Need to re-enable graphics without display

So I made a mistake because I'm an idiot. I've been trying to access my BIOS settings in Windows 8 and I made the mistake of disabling my AMD graphics card in windows Device Manager. I thought once I did that, Intel HD would come back on. Now it won't display anything and I can't find out how to fix it.

Basically I need to know how to get either my graphics card or Intel HD enabled without being able to see anything

The reason I did it is because when I first got the computer, the usual startup stuff would show up, and I would've been able to access the BIOS menu. Since I enabled my graphics card, NOTHING at all will show up until Windows has started so that's why I wanted to re-enable Intel HD so I could at least access the BIOS menu to make my graphics card boot up earlier than windows startup. If I ever need to access the recovery menu, I won't be able to because nothing shows up until windows boots up. That could be a big problem in the future. I thought Windows would be smart enough to switch back to Intel HD once my GPU was disabled but nope. I guess I'm as dumb as windows 8 though for trying this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, because otherwise, I have a 500 dollar paperweight


And before you ask, yes I did try to plug my display into the motherboard connectors. I also tried pressing F1, F2, and DEL repeatedly to access the setup menu, and nothing will show up. I can tell pressing DEL does access the BIOS menu, but I can't see anything so it's no use to me.

Reset CMOS on motherboard? & plug into intel hd.

Take power off the mb then se the clear the CMOS jumper to force the mb bios back to default.

Intel HD is integrated, I don't think you can plug into it. I'll try CMOS. Will I lose any data if I do that?

If you want the monitor to use your iGPU, make sure it is connected to the DVI/VGA port on the motherboard. That should make the screen turn on at least.

I tried that too. I tried connection with HDMI, and VGA. 2 different monitors as well.

No data, but any custom bios settings go to "default". Plug into motherboard first

Sorry my mistake, I didnt see you already tried it. It should have defaulted to the iGPU as soon as you plug it in to the motherboard.

A CMOS reset wont delete any personal data. The only data you will lose will be any OC settings you had.

Damnit. It didn't work. I reset CMOS the way I'm supposed to and it still won't display on either of my monitors.

Re-install win-8 disc that should load generic drivers.

I tried the CMOS reset but it didn't work. I've found conflicting sources on how to do it. Gateway says to power it off, and put the jumper on pins 2 and 3, and then put it back on 1 and 2. They mention that some computers will automatically turn on when you put it on 2/3 so I assume they don't want you to unplug from the PSU.

I've heard other places say to remove the battery.

I'm going to try again, maybe this time I'll take out my GPU before I boot up.

Reseting CMOS didn't work for me. I first had to take the GPU out of the case to get INtel HD to display, then I had to uninstall the driver for my GPU before I could put it back in the case.

Not sure why but if you disable a GPU, you can't re-enable it. You have to reinstall it basically.
