I have an old HTPC case - Cooler Master CAV-T02-UKA - which has a 300W power supply. I want to replace the innards with modern components. An ATX MB fits, along with a good video card, disk drives, etc. The problem is the power supply - a Macron MPT-301 - isn't compatible with the new stuff. It has a size that I haven't been able to match. The size, according to a web site, is 120mm by 85mm by 155mm. By my tape measure it is about 4.75 by 6.125 by 3.375 inches. Can anybody suggest a power supply with matching dimensions? TIA.

Guess you want a "sleeper" build?

Think personally that an SFX comes closest , size are usually ,

SFX has dimensions of 125 × 63.5 × 100 mm (width × height × depth)

SFX-L are longer/deeper,

SFX-L dimensions of 125 × 63.5 × 130 mm to accommodate a 120 mm fan

There are brands that come with an SFX->ATX adapter, if you are handy could you maybe, if the adapter is needed, resize the ATX adapter and drill usefull holes where you need them to be to something that fits that case since you want to be adventurous.

The Cooler Master SFX V series for instance,
