Hello,
I previously posted in the Systems forum, but no response.
I have two Magewell HDMI to USB 3.0 capture cards which I will be using to capture video from two HD 1080 video cameras and I will be using Wirecast to stream to Ustream.
I need to stream at 1080 but need help choosing between a computer and a laptop. I don't know much about streaming, clock rates, GPUs, CPUS etc. Could you help with this? I found these two machines locally and I am pretty interested in either. Do you recommend either of these? I have a budget of $1,000.00. The Dell has a faster CPU but the Toshiba has a better video card. Which is best for my needs?

Solution
you dont need to get a prebuilt machine, you should build it yourself.
as for the PC itself, this is a solid machine for streaming, that is much lower than your budget. you just dont need that much hrosepower:

David, thanks for the quick reply.
Since I need this now and don't know how to put a PC together I wouldn't mind spending the money on either the Dell or the Toshiba that I proposed. I am just not sure which is better between both of them because the Dell has a faster CPU and cheap graphics card on the other hand the Toshiba has a slower CPU but pretty nice graphics card. Which machine is better for my 1080 video camera streaming needs?

the dell is probably the better choice, but building a PC is really easy, and you can save alot of money with it,
