This is my problem my computer is losing connection every 1-2 hours. To solve this problem i just plug out the internet cable from my Pc and plug it back in and i get internet instantly again. This is very annoying.

I have an TP-LINK router that is 4 year old

My pc is from november its an asus z87-A motherboard so i don't think it should be going bad and i don't have a lan card. But i havent installed any Ethernet port driver updates so where do you find thoose

Yea i have the latest lan driver

No i don't need to jiggle the wire and since the last time i lost internet i have swaped internet cable and so far the internet havent crashed but i guess i will see in some hours

by "jiggle" I meant manipulate it. you do by unplugging and replugging. so bad wire or bad socket. lets hope the new cable works................... maybe if you look at the old cable and "pry" the wires up a little they might make better contact inside the socket... or perhaps the end of one of them is broken ?................. these things are just like the old phone cables.

okay the internet went again but this time i unpluged the internet cable leading to the pc. So is it the router that is chrashing or does the router have bad ports?. btw this time it took 3 hours for it to crash

no it hadn't any wires in when i did that. I just meant that instead of unplugging it from the pc port i unplugged it from the router port (not sure if it matters do and also here is my firmware and hardware version

Firmware Version:
3.7.2 Build 071123 Rel.38867n
Hardware Version:
WR641G/642G v3 08118989

okay now i checked and i have the latest version firmware but i haven't changed 1 internet cabel that goes to the router so that might be the problem but i can't check that before i buy a new one
