need to update bios or not?

So I finally have the budget and the time to build my first gaming PC, it's going to be a low budget APU gaming build using the 7850k AMD APU and 2400mhz memory. I want to buy the gigabyte GA-F2A88XM motherboard, but I am being told the bios will need be updated prior to using vishera CPUs. Do I really need to upgrade the bios?

If so and if buying new, it should be the latest revision, rev. 3.2/3.3. If so, the A10-7850K has been supported ever since the very first BIOS; FA.
