I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 110 with core i7 6498du skylak. Its bit slow and my laptop gets stuck at times.
Can I ugrade my processor?
If I can then can u suggest wich would be best and compatible for my laptop in terms of performance.
Thanks!

The Intel Core i7-6498DU uses a FCBGA-1356 mounting package. That means that the CPU package is actually soldered to the laptop's motherboard so it is not user replaceable.

Take a look at your running processes to see if any processes are excessively consuming CPU cycles.

An i7 is almost certainly at (or very near) the top of what that laptop can handle.
Even if it were changeable, which is not a guarantee.

What are the other specs on this?
RAM?
Is it a spinning hard drive or SSD?

I have 8gb Ram and 1TB HDD not SSD.
Its not working as its name though.

A slow system is the result of software issues - or plain malware - in most cases and especially when you're not running on a junk CPU with limited memory. On that system, I'd look at software first.

If scans like malwarebytes and malwarebytes adwcleaner don't help, consider resetting Windows. If it's Windows 10, that would be found in the Settings app under Update and Security (it can keep your files but you'd have to re-install your programs)

I would definitely consider purchasing/installing an SSD and install Windows on that. That will make a HUGE difference in overall feel of performance. If you do get an SSD, do not clone your old drive to the SSD, do a fresh install of Windows. This is important because if you do have viruses or malware, you'll still have them if you clone. With a fresh install your computer will be running at peak efficiency.
